Schedules of Condition
If you are investing in a leasehold property for use by your church then you should have a Schedule of Condition carried out by an Independent Building Surveyor.
A Schedule of Condition is a record of the condition of the property when you take on the lease. The Schedule of Condition protects your interests and can be appended to your lease. This means that you and the landlord agree to the condition of the property when you take the lease over and ensures you are not held accountable for any repairs or redecoration that have not been carried out by the previous tenants.
